Kuwait Gulf Oil Company was established in February 2002 for managing Kuwait’s interest of hydrocarbon resources in the Divided Zone. By assuming this role as Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s representative, they continue the successful Divided Zone tradition that had been carried on by the Arabian Oil Company Ltd. since 1958.
In 2006, KGOC took over the responsibility to manage Kuwait’s share of the resources in the on-land Divided Zone that had been carried on by the Kuwait Oil Company through Wafra Joint Operations (WJO). Since then, KGOC is responsible for managing all of the shared resources in the DZ (onshore & offshore)
Wafra Joint Operations
The objective of Wafra Joint Operations is to conduct the onshore activities related to Exploration and Drilling in the search for Oil and Gas in the Divided Zone.
Khafji Joint Operations
The objective of Khafji Joint Operations is to conduct onshore and offshore activities related to Exploration, Development and Production of Oil and Gas in Khafji Divided Zone.
